12 Angry Geeks

The Geeks pledge to our readers that we will provide insightful and updated content to improve your overall fantasy baseball performance. We will not copy player rater lists and offer plain vanilla forecasts that will surely land you in the middle of the pack. Our goal is to make the Rookie GM's competitive and League Champions even better. If you want regurgitated "inside the box" thinking and analysis then you have come to the wrong place. Our diverse staff will have no literary constraints or agendas and will be able to provide you with the tools necessary to become a Roto-success. We have created this site to give the die-hard fantasy baseball owners out there a place to gather information and to provide an eventual forum to express their views. Please give us feedback and come back often. If we are missing something you feel would be helpful please let us know. This site has been created by the Geeks for the Geeks.

Let us settle all of your trade debates.

Who are the 12 Angry Geeks?   Stan Gable's worst nightmare?   Not quite, those were Nerds.   12 Angry Geeks are the people you can rely on to settle your league's disputed trades.   We offer objective, experienced, and most importantly, timely resolutions to trades in your league that have been disputed.

Why leave it up to owners in your league who may have ulterior motives to voting for or against a trade that has been deemed possibly unfair?   Send us the trade details and any other pertinent information about your league and we will decide.

How does it work?

1.

A trade has been agreed upon in your league.   Owners in your league don't think that the trade is "fair" and should be challenged.

2.

Someone in your league fills out the Trade Review Form (link) with the trade and league details and submits it the Geeks.

3.

We review the Trade Review Form (link) and rank it based on the below scoring system.

4.

Within no more than 48 Hours, we reply to you with our findings.   Our findings will include the voting results and a brief synopsis of how and why we voted the way that we did.

5.

You take the results and do with them what you want.

What is the benefit to you and your league?

1.

Being an outside source we offer the most objective point of view possible.   There are no worries about motives behind how owners in your league vote.

2.

We promise to provide our results in a timely manner, no longer than 48 hours.   You don't have to worry about the vote being cast by that one owner who is always slow to respond.

3.

No hard feelings by owners in your league.   The blame is fully on us.

4.

It's free!!!!!   Experienced input from us at no cost to you.

How do I get started?

1.

Click the Trade Review Form (link) button to enter your trade and league details.

2.

Enter all information that is relevant to the trade.   Players involved, keeper status, salary cao information, league size, positions in the standings and anything else that will assist us in giving you a well informed decision.

3.

Click the Submit button.

So stop the back and forth arguing and let the 12 Angry Geeks do the work for you.

The Voting Process -

Each Geek will vote based on the following scale -

+3    Unfairly Favorable for Team 1
+2    Very Favorable for Team 1
+1    Slightly Favorable for Team 1
  0    Even Trade
-1    Slightly Favorable for Team 2
-2    Very Favorable for Team 2
-3    Unfairly Favorable for Team 2

The votes from the 12 Geeks will then be totaled and your accumulated result will be measured in the following way -

+/- 30-36 pts - Trade is Unfair - Action should be taken
+/- 16-26 pts - Trade is One-Sided but should be allowed
+/-   0-15 pts - Trade is Fair - No Action

*****12 Angry Geeks is not the forum to ask our viewpoint on whether or not you should accept or propose a certain trade offer.   This is designed to assist leagues to determine whether or not trades are fair to the league and being in arbiter in such matters.   If you have a question about proposed trades please email your favorite Geek.*****
